Groups offered at St. Paul's
Children’s Sunday service: »SENFKÖRNER«: They meet once a month on the first Sunday (so far). The children start with the adults in the main service and leave during the second hymn with their attendants to their own service. When we have more attendants the frequency will be expanded – is that something for you?.
Ecumenical Children’s service: Once a month the service takes place on Sundays at 5.00 p.m. in White Plains/Westchester County. This service is run by parents together with the pastors from the different churches and offers next to a biblical story active participation of the children in painting, crafting and other manual exercises. Meeting point is the Trininity-Lutheran-Church corner Bryant Avenue/North Street.
Confirmation class: The new class starts in September with the beginning of school for pupils in the 8 th grade. The feast of Confirmation is on Sunday of Pentecost the following year. For non-members there is a fee of US$ 350,-.
Young-adults-Group: In monthly intervals young adults meet for the main service on Sunday, followed by a separate program: Biblical contemplation, excursions and other ventures. First reconstituting meeting is Saturday, 18 th Dec. 04. (www.stpaulaner.com)
Choir of the German School New York: Under the leadership of experienced conductors the choir rehearses once a week for performances not only in St. Paul’s. Further information can be obtained from the German School New York in White Plains.
German Women’s Association »Frauenverein«: Once a month, on the first Thursday, the German Women’s Association meets in the parish hall of the church. Beside having fellowship and drinking coffee, many fundraising projects in favor of the church are planned and organized, like the spring festival and the Flea market.
