The Munich workshop Franz Mayer is known for its stained-glass windows, such as those in St. Paul's Cathedral. These same artisans also created some of New York's most beautiful subway art. More information below...

About this Event

The walk visits five mosaic and glass works from the MTA Arts & Design program, all from the Mayer studio in Munich.

Along the way, we ask what changes when the same sacred craft migrates into the utterly secular transit space. From church windows to subway walls: What remains the same, what becomes different?

We are limiting this event to 6 people. If you don't get a spot, please feel free to add yourself to the waiting list. We will then look for a solution.

Meeting point: in front of Joe Coffee, 10 South Street Slip, New York, NY 10004
